Quality assurance at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology UL

The Quality Evaluation and Accreditation Committee at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the University of Ljubljana (FCCTUL) has ten members. The Committee is comprised of members from chairs (one from each), one student representative and the Vice-Dean. The Committee’s members from chairs are from higher education teachers, while the Vice-Dean is its member by virtue of his/her office and presides over the Committee (Article 90 of the Rules on the Organisation and Functioning of the FCCTUL, June 2019).

Members of the FCCTUL Quality Evaluation and Accreditation Committee for the 2017 to 2021 term of office

The FCCTUL Quality Evaluation and Accreditation Committee (Article 90 of the Rules):

  • shall prepare the Faculty’s vision and mission proposals and submit them to the Senate of the Faculty for adoption;
  • shall prepare annual evaluations of the quality of research, teaching and administrative work at the Faculty and assess their compliance with the Faculty’s vision and mission;
  • shall prepare proposals for annual reports on the Faculty’s quality;
  • shall prepare proposals for improving the quality of scientific research, teaching and administrative work at the Faculty;
  • shall prepare proposals for the Faculty’s work programmes in the segment related to the Faculty’s annual report for the previous year;
  • shall prepare a comparison between the Faculty and leading faculties abroad;
  • shall prepare a plan for strategic overhaul of the Faculty in accordance with European trends;
  • shall be responsible for obtaining international accreditations;
  • shall perform other tasks that fall within its substantive framework or are determined by the Faculty’s Senate.
